Ekanake hostel

Pros: Very clean and comfortable beds, with proper duvets and pillows. Location was great for Pinklao area and the southern bus station. A quiet hostel - perfect for a break from the busier hostels. Coffee in the downstairs café is really good. There is also a big 7/11 nearby. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped with introducing me to the area and finding ATM, clothes stores, shops etc. I also forgot my electric toothbrush and the staff very promptly kindly posted it to my next location without any issues!!

2 nights in Bangkok

Pros: Huge wide dorm beds, good bedding, though mattresses very hard. Light, plug, A/C - top. Electronic dorm chip, towel 20 Baht. Coffeeshop downstairs with very good Western type coffee. Very friendly staff. Dorm windows good, despite the heavy highway traffic and all other sounds it is tolerable. Nice neighbourhood, close to river ferry to city center and (food) market close by (warning: it closes early around 6pm). Supermarket 20 meters away. Fairly close/well located to Southern Bus Terminal.

Cons: No social hostel, no real common area to meet people. Maybe in the coffeeshop but that also functions as a printing shop. Can't say I care for the fumes there. I sat in the kitchen sometimes, but wasn't really sure I was supposed to as staff was also there. There is a camera right in the ladies dorm which filmed me while I was changing in front of my bed. I realised this too late (nobody told me) and also that there is a specific changing room area inside the dorm with a curtain. There is another camera in front of the dorm coming from the showers. I did not like that. I am a female solo traveller and I would feel MORE safe without a camera IN the dorm. My Thai wasn't good enough to inquire about the reason behind these cameras.

Amazing place to stay and

Pros: The owner is such a nice man! Took his time to listen to me and give some guidance. They have a coffee bar with good coffee and amazing Thai tea! I really loved the plants and bench they have in the front of the coffeebar/hostel.

Cons: It wasn't clear to me from the advertisement that it would be a woman only room. Fortunately it was possible to change some things around so I could be in a common room.

Comfortable stay close to Thonburi station and river ferrys and Wat Arun. Great choice.

Pros: super big and comfortable bed, superclean bath and toilet, very helpful staff, big locker in the room.

Cons: Why people behave like monkeys, thinking beeing alone in a 8 bed dorm : telephoning in the night for two hours (there are signs to please go outside to talk). Snoring like a gorilla - really? You really think you should sleep in a dorm, where 8 people sleep (and even one other would be enough)? Its not the hostels falt. It's just selfish people travelling.

Good stay in quite hostel with bunk bed with curtain.

Pros: Very easy coming and going. Quite place, bunk beds with good space and curtains (great!), staff was supportive.

Cons: It would have been great, if the staff spoke a little more English, I'd have had many questions out of curiosity.

Pros: Helpful staff, clean and calm dorm, nice neighborhood

Pros: Das Hostel ist extrem sauber, hell und gut ausgestattet. Wir waren im privaten Family-Room aber auch die Gemeinschaftsbereiche sahen sehr sauber und ordentlich aus. Die Familie, die das Hostel leitet ist sehr freundlich. Der Blick aus dem Familienzimmer in Richtung Fluss ist unglaublich schön, man sieht viele Tempel und Hochhäuser in der Ferne (auch vom Badezimmer aus).

Cons: Der Balkon liegt leider direkt neben einer viel befahrenen Straße, weshalb es recht laut ist. Die Betten sind recht hart, falls man weichere Matratzen gewöhnt ist. Außerdem war das Waschbecken leider verstopft, was in Asien aber gelegentlich vorkommen kann. Wir sind nur eine Nacht geblieben, aber die Besitzer versprachen, sich sofort darum zu kümmern. Sonst alles super ;)

Pros: Etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums. Schönes, sauberes Schlafsaalzimmer.

Cons: Beim Abreisen war der Besitzer und ein anderer Mann sehr angetrunken. Es war mir und meiner Freundin etwas unangenehm in dieser Situation mit Ihnen zu sprechen. Ansonsten waren sie aber nett.

Pros: chose this place to easily move to the southern bus station, nearby a local market so there are plenty of things for your hungry tummy

Cons: maybe a random dude waking around in boxers not knowing there are women in the dorm 😅 not the hostel’s fault

Pros: I had a fantastic stay at this hostel! The rooms were spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The location is ideal, with a 7-Eleven conveniently nearby for any essentials. Plus, it’s very close to Wang Lang Market and the pier, making it easy to explore local sights and hop on a ferry. The hostel's combination of cleanliness, comfort, and prime location truly made my trip enjoyable. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area!
