Residency Hotel Bangkok

Pros: Friendly staff, good location, especially if you like an Indian Curry! Very yummy and cheap restaurants within walking distance. Alot of nightlife down the road so felt safe walking around at night as a solo female traveler.

Cons: The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but for the price was not worried.

Had a good long stay

Pros: All the staffs were friendly, helpful and courteous. They went out of their way to resolve issues. My tv set was not working well and they changed to a new tv. The room is spacious. They provide 2 bottles of water daily. The hotel's location is great, walking distance to many malls, and with many eating places nearby. I had a good rest in the hotel and was offered continental breakfast with my choice of eggs every morning. You can ask for more bread, jam, butter, cereals, milk, coffee, tea, etc. They also served 2 kinds of fruits and orange juice daily.

Cons: This hotel is old. They need to really revamp it, esp simple things like the bathroom lightings, the handshower which keeps dropping off each time you close the tap. At the corner of every floor is a smoking area, where the windows are left open the whole time. This allows mosquitos and flying cockroaches to fly into the corridor and rooms. There is also stale smell of smoke all along the corridor. Smoking should be only allowed outside the hotel and strictly not in the hotel's premises.
