Still the Best Place to stay.

Pros: Within 25 years we have bin many times here and like the place on the river very much. Of corse the near by MRT station and the many riverboat connections.

Cons: BREAKFAST fantastic in comperidation to the price but the DINNER Buffet become too expensive now and A la Cart is not that what it was once, unfortunately.

Fantastic and quiet location. Feels like you’re not in the city.

Pros: Very comfortable stay, almost feel like you’re not in the city. Lovely pool at Shangri-La wing in the morning, plenty of sun. Krungthep wing’s pool is also good but no chance of sun in the morning. Breakfast at Next2 was fabulous. Plenty of selection and dining right by the river is amazing! Room is comfortable, had one of the best sleeps in recent time.

Cons: Krungthep wing is a little too quiet. While not 100% dead it falls short in comparison to its exclusivity compared to the garden wing in Shangri-La Singapore.

Lovely stay on the river

Pros: Staff were exceptional and incredibly attentive to all the little things, nice big comfortable bed. Great spot on the river and modern gym technology. They really seem to have thought of everything.

Cons: Property feels a bit dated in places, could do with a spruce up. Food in the restaurants is average but much more expensive than other places in Bangkok and given the location of the hotel their is wasted potential with the space.

Perfection

Pros: Everything is excellent. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the beautiful pool with lovely sun loungers, the breakfast is amazing with so much choice and beautiful spacious room.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike. One observation is there is only one toaster for breakfast and they could probably do with two for the amount of guests.

Fantastic location next to the ferry pier and amazing buffet breakfast, but the rooms felt dated with inconvenient power

Pros: Loved the location - so convenient being right next to the ferry pier. The staff were great and always helpful providing directions and support

Cons: The rooms are old and as a result there just weren’t enough PowerPoints that were located in convenient places especially for international adapters. There wasn’t a PowerPoint next to the bed so charging phones on bedside table wasn’t possible. There wasn’t a power point in the bathroom either. There was only one located in main room that needed to be used for all purposes which made it a bit inconvenient. Also wifi was super slow and as a result was not able to be used.
