Great quality to price ratio, with a retro style which is making a comeback.

Pros: Spacious rooms with strong ACs. The room on the 8th floor under the roof got pretty heated up by the evening when we got back from doing tourist stuff and it took only like 15 minutes to cool it all down. Fresh towels and bedsheets everyday. Water is also provided in recyclable glass bottles. Very cheap price, having read the other reviews, you'd think the unsatisfied guests were paying x5 what the price is. The hotel has a convenient pick up lobby for taxi. Also the blue line metro station is about 15 minutes away by foot. There is a seveneleven shop right next to the hotel which is open 24/7. Reception staff is pleasant. As a side note, my wife who is an architect/interior designer, said that the design is amazing. Despite being quite old, the design is exactly the sort of thing that high class luxury projects request these days. Fashion is cyclical after all :)

Cons: One day we came back in the evening and it smelled like someone had smoked a join in the lobby. No idea what that was about, but that was the only quip we had.

Pros: Great location, comfy room and huge bed. Nice hot, powerful shower too! Great for a quick stop in Bangkok, really good food places down the road too. Staff are also really lovely and helpful

Cons: Room was a bit dark, needs more sun loungers on the roof as there was only 2!
