I loved the Malaysia Hotel and would return there some time soon!

Pros: What I really liked about the Malaysia Hotel was its prime location--about 10-15 minutes to Silom, Chula, Sathorn--and its so quiet. Although my room's view wasn't the best (facing an old building--too close in fact!), it was quiet, near the elevator. Also, since it's an old hotel, the room is spacious although the facilities might appear worn out but I liked it all here. The price was good less than 1,000 baht a night and I got a good parking space--probably it was at the end of the year. Next time I'll try the restaurant.

Pros: I have been coming here for close to 20 years. The Malay restaurant is superb. The first 2 days I just eat and eat.

Good old Malaysia...

Pros: Have been coming to Malaysia for years now, it's almost like coming home. Not much surprises me anymore - the rooms are quite big and comfortable, the restaurant is OK, the cleaning ladies kind and efficient. The pool area has changed, I remember an enormous tree in the place where there is some concrete now...

Cons: It's better with the sunbeds, but some of them are still broken. And maybe it's time the hotel installed safety boxes in the rooms rather than continue this strange reception-controlled safe system? It also seems to me the price has increased rather significantly.

Pros: Cheap and Cheerful. It is dated but very good value for money as half the price of the Ibis opposite and much larger rooms with comfortable beds. Housekeeping very good 10/10 Great location in Sathorn with variety of small restaurants and coffee shop. Also close to One Bangkok centre. Good restaurant Friendly staff Been a few times now
