Baan Vajra

Enjoyable escape from Bangkok for a few days.

Pros: The room was large and exactly as shown in the pictures. Breakfast was generous with a choice of both Thai and Western food, i.e., one of each dish.

Cons: No complaints.

The old Bangkok feeling

Pros: It was not my first stay, and I will return in a few weeks. It is not a ordinary hotel, it has a special atmosphere. It give the feeling of the old Bangkok, what is disapearing very quickly

Pros: Staff are very helpful and kind. Very clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated mansion which makes you feel like staying in a historical building.

Clean and great location.

Pros: Really clean, comfortable bed. I like that it is a family run hotel and not a big company. Location was good. Would stay again.

Cons: They gym could be better.

Value for money accordingly kodati on and good location

Pros: The rooms are very well maintained. Clean and large. The balcony over looking the pool and pipal tree was beautiful. The cleanliness staff is top notch.

Cons: This was our second time and a similar very curt and a non accommodating behaviour by the lady at the reception was a a disappointment yet again. We saw her interacting with other guests of European nationality and while she stated the same non flexible rules to them as she had done to us, her behaviour towards them was very jovial and welcoming. Both the times we’ve stayed with her, she seems to be very unfriendly and cold to us. The rooms however make up for her behaviour so guess o really don’t care much about how she behaves.

An oasis in the middle of bustling Bangkok

Pros: A step back in time with all the modern conveniences. Spacious and clean with beautiful appointments. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it. Staff are lovely and pleasant and always helpful.

Cons: Nothing!

Perfectly adequate accommodation in that price range

Pros: Lovely room, walking access to ferry terminal, small pool and outside seating area, various breakfast options available at a cost

Pros: Very beautiful house, great location. Bathroom was amazing

Cons: The furniture is a bit old (not in a charming way), the wallpaper is peeling off the walls, and the headboard was old and broken. It didn’t affect sleep, but you could tell the room had seen better days

Pros: Nice little gem in a city will definitely be staying again

Pros: Lovely quirky hotel full of character. Staff were great, friendly and hotel was very clean. Nice change from a big city hotel in Bangkok. Fabulous location, make sure to go to kudos coffee next door.

Cons: Worth taking earplugs, road was quite noisy.
