Pros: For what it is advertised as, it fulfills. Host is fast responsive. It’s not a luxury stay at all but this you should know when you book it, and be comfortable sleeping when warm.
Cons: The fan is on the floor and the bed is a single upper bunk. So there will not be air blowing ON YOU. I’d like to have known about the ”secret passage” to the BTS, the first couple of times I walked the long way around. Still BTS is like a 15 min walk.

When in Bangkok, I hope I can stay here!
Pros: The location is perfectly away from the tourist rut. From Olan Pl. we can take the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) Skytrain for around €2 each way, to posh central New Town: Sukhumvit, Silom areas or a choice of buses, which additionaly can take us to backpack central Old Town: Khaosan, Sanam Luang, Hua Lampong for around half-a-pound sterling, or much less on non-airconditioned partly wooden red buses, my personal favourite routemasters, plenty of cool air through the open windows.
Cons: Nothing, everything has been great. Taking into account that Old Town and the approaches to New Town have been a traffic shambles for the last three years, due to the ongoing extension of the MRT(Metropolitan Rapid Transit) tube train system, which resembles some Neverending Story, the Kasetsart area around Olan has to be one of the best areas to stay in Bangkok at the moment.

Pros: Small cozy room in a vibrant area of Bangkok.. The room is small, yes, but i lived in smaller when living in Hong Kong. Has all the things you need, a small refrigerator, a kettle, desk, shower, and toilet, toiletries were of good size, not the usual tiny bar of soap or small bottles of gel. John is a really fantastic host and an interesting character. Nothing seems to be too hard for him to organise. The area around is full good little places to eat and drink. The complex has a steel fence around it, makes one feel very safe, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay , so much so I booked for another two nights ...albeit in another room
Cons: Bunk bed was a little hard for this old man to climb into ....but i survived ))

Nice alternative for hostel if you need privacy
Pros: The room was small, but had many facilities, 2 fans, fridge, microwave, free coffee. Very clever use of space :) Good price and close to skytrain station.
Cons: WiFi worked very poorly, maybe it was just the case of my room, IDK (?)

Pros: Exactly as shown in the images provided. The bed was comfortable, softer pillows than is the norm and the fan was enough to keep cool. Perfect for me as it was less than half an hour from the airport, lots of shops within a stones throw and a nice park to walk around. To top it off John was very helpful there were no issues at all.
Cons: Other guests not keeping the noise down but that is the norm I guess.

Pros: John is a really good host! I felt very comfortable staying here. The room isnt big, but offers you everything you need. A room, a bed and a private bathroom. I recommend to stay here if you dont want to stay directly in the busy city Center.
