Growing up in an old Kolkata colonial house ,the hotel evoked strong nostalgia. Will come back!
Pros: The location - on one of the three Phraengs , within old town , gives a local vibe , walking distance from ferry ,Grand palace and the main Wats. affordable and tasty food options a plenty around. The place has a vintage decor with items dating back to 1920s. And lush plants at every corner add to the charm. The owner and staff ( a lovely Thai boy Pam) gave us personal attention ,suggested non touristy activities . Breakfast was simple but traditional four course Thai meal .We had the best Thai iced tea at this place made by Pam and it was complimentary too ! The bed deserves special mention - firm mattress and firm pillows . Did wonders to our stiff backs!
Cons: Looking at the price, do not expect 'star' facilities at this place - no minibar or electric kettle in the room( Pam arranged one for us ), bathroom shower is old fashioned .Though not really an issue to us . It can be difficult for elderly people or families with children.

Cons: подушки

Unique small hotel
Pros: We received a very warm welcome at this unique property. It feels like an oasis of calm and character in busy Bangkok. Thai Breakfast was delicious. Service was very helpful. Interior design is full of carefully chosen antiques, but doesn't feel stuffy.

Lovely and relaxing
Pros: The b&b is beautifully decorated and maintained, and the hosts are incredibly kind and attentive. Direk (the owner) gave me great recommendations for my time in Bangkok. The hotel is in a nice quiet square, and it was always lovely to come back and decompress after the business of Bangkok. I had amazing four course thai breakfasts every morning, and they were wonderful about accommodating dietary restrictions. I also enjoyed a Thai iced tea and coconut ice cream in the courtyard every afternoon
Cons: The bed is quite hard, which I like, but it’s something to know if you have a strong preference for a soft bed
