The Raweekanlaya Bangkok Wellness Cuisine Resort

Located in the Dusit district of Bangkok, The Raweekanlaya Bangkok offers accommodation in a historic building that was originally built in the late 1800's as the residence of the royal governess of His Majesty King Rama VI. The residence is also remnant of Thewet Palace, which used to be located in the area. Its 900-square meters of lush greenery, highlighted by a 120 years old Banyan tree, provides a true urban resort. Guest rooms at Raweekanlaya Bangkok are appointed to reflect the heritage of Old-Siam with a mix of Thai décor and modern comforts. Rooms offer air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and safety deposit box. There is also a minibar. Free toiletries, a hairdryer and a shower are included in the en suite bathroom. Facilities and services at The Raweekanlaya Bangkok include laundry, luggage storage and a 24-hour front desk. Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional charge. Dusit Zoo is 2.5 km from the hotel, while the Royal Dusit Golf Club is 1.8 km away. Phaya Thai BTS Skytrain Station is a 5 km drive from the property and Suvarnabhumi International Airport is within a 1-hour drive of the hotel.

A great hotel in the heart of the city.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel feels like a little oasis in the middle of a very busy city! The hotel is set in very well maintained grounds with a great hotel - my 6yo particularly enjoyed after a hot day! The staff were great and could do enough for you, recommendations, organising taxis etc.

Cons: The room was 'fine', large space but could have done with some more space to put things, particularly if you are there for more than a couple of days.

A Hidden Green Oasis in the Heart of Bangkok — With a Modest Breakfast

Pros: Raweekanlaya Bangkok truly feels like a peaceful sanctuary in the middle of the city. Once you step through the gates, the chaos of Bangkok disappears and you’re surrounded by greenery, colonial-style buildings and a calm, intimate atmosphere. The boutique character is one of its biggest strengths. The gardens are beautifully maintained and create a rare sense of tranquility for such a central location. Rooms are stylish and clean, blending traditional Thai elements with modern comfort. They are not particularly spacious, but comfortable enough for a city stay. Beds were good and air conditioning worked perfectly. Location-wise, it’s convenient yet slightly tucked away. You’re close enough to explore Bangkok, but far enough from the chaos to truly unwind after a busy day in the city.

Cons: However, the breakfast was noticeably simple and rather limited — especially by Thai standards. In a country known for generous and varied breakfast offerings, the selection here felt somewhat modest and could be improved to better match the overall boutique positioning of the hotel.

Oasis - would recommend. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Pros: Beautiful setting - like an oasis of authenticity within Bangkok.

Cons: A bit noisy at night. Mainly from birds!!

Peaceful and beautiful accommodation in a great location.

Pros: It’s an oasis in a busy city: grounds and general layout are peaceful and beautifully presented and maintained. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Reception staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and delightful. Location is very good- especially once Staff explained about the Ferry system.

Cons: Some maintenance of the front accommodation rooms would improve the property.

Really nice hotel with great staff and facilities

Pros: Perfect small hotel to start my time in Bangkok, breakfast was nice with the ability to order specialist items if you would like. The spa, pool and the setting area is comfortable throughout the day.

Cons: The size of the room was wanting and the view from the room wasn't the best.

Lovely comfortable hotel in quiet & tucked away!

Pros: Lovely hotel tucked away with lovely gardens. Wonderful, friendly & helpful staff team.

Cons: Water dispensers would be better to see than plastic water bottles.

A lovely hotel for relaxation and recuperation

Pros: The Raweekanlaya met our needs for a couple of quiet, relaxing days very well. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The ambience was relaxed; the garden and pool were particularly attractive and restful. Our room was not big, space for suitcases was limited, but the decor was in keeping with the old house. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and of good quality.

Cons: The location in a quieter part of the city meant that a taxi was usually necessary to reach well known destinations - although a little exploration of the local fish market yielded some pleasant surprises.
